Guide for Reviewers

1. Guidelines for Reviewers

We highly appreciate the valuable contribution of our reviewers in maintaining the quality and integrity of the Analytical and Numerical Solutions for Nonlinear Equations (ANSNE) journal. The following guidelines are intended to assist reviewers in evaluating submitted manuscripts fairly and constructively:

Evaluation Criteria

  • Originality – The manuscript must present novel findings or significant improvements to existing methods.
  • Scientific Validity – The research should be methodologically sound and well-supported by theoretical or experimental results.
  • Clarity and Presentation – The manuscript should be well-structured, clear, and coherent.
  • Relevance – The topic must align with the scope of ANSNE and contribute to the field of applied mathematics.

Providing Constructive Feedback

  • Comments should be detailed, constructive, and professional to help authors improve their work.
  • Criticism should be objective and supported by scientific reasoning rather than personal opinions.
  • Reviewers should avoid dismissive or vague comments and instead provide clear suggestions for improvement.

Timeliness

  • Reviewers are expected to submit their evaluations within four weeks of receiving the manuscript.
  • If extra time is needed, reviewers should inform the editorial office as soon as possible.

Reporting Ethical Concerns

  • Any suspicion of plagiarism, data fabrication, redundant publication, or unethical research practices should be reported to the editors immediately.
  • Reviewers should notify the editor if they recognize a conflict of interest or if they are aware of the manuscript's prior submission elsewhere.

2. Peer Review Process

✅ ANSNE follows a Single-Blind Peer Review system, meaning that:

  • The reviewers remain anonymous to the authors.
  • The authors' identities are known to the reviewers.

✅ Process Overview

  1. Initial Editorial Screening – The Editor-in-Chief reviews submissions for relevance, originality, and adherence to journal guidelines.
  2. Assignment to Reviewers – At least two expert reviewers are selected based on their expertise in the subject area.
  3. Reviewer Evaluation – Reviewers assess the manuscript and provide detailed feedback along with a recommendation (accept, minor revision, major revision, or reject).
  4. Editorial Decision – Based on the reviewers' comments, the editorial board makes the final decision.

3. Ethical Responsibilities of Reviewers

Reviewers play a crucial role in upholding the integrity of the peer-review process. They must adhere to the following ethical guidelines:

Confidentiality

  • Manuscripts and review reports are confidential and should not be shared with anyone outside the editorial team.
  • Reviewers must not use unpublished data or ideas from the manuscript for personal research purposes.

Objectivity and Fairness

  • Reviews should be conducted impartially and without bias.
  • Personal criticism of the author is inappropriate; feedback should focus on the content of the manuscript.

Conflict of Interest Disclosure

  • If a reviewer has a financial, professional, or personal connection with the authors that could affect their judgment, they should decline the review.
  • If a reviewer has recently collaborated with the authors, they should inform the editors.

4. Benefits of Being a Reviewer

Reviewers are an essential part of the academic community, and their contributions are highly valued. Some benefits of reviewing for ANSNE include:

✅ A formal certificate of appreciation for completed reviews.
✅ Recognition of academic contribution to the field.
Potential opportunities for joining the editorial board based on reviewing performance.
